Globe Life Field
When I found out the Texas Rangers ownership group was going to break ground on a new ballpark, I knew there was a lot of fun creative work ahead and this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
From the ground up, I helped put together the naming rights partnership presentation with the Rangers sponsorship department. Was able to creative/art direct numerous projects throughout the ballpark, bringing the history of the Rangers franchise and the brand to life (the following is just the start of the list). This included designing and working with other designers on timelines, graphics, experiential design, and photographic story telling. Helped the architects and interior designers design way-finding signage, concession stand logos, lockers for the clubhouse, and wall treatments.
I also wrote, helped produce and shot numerous content pieces (photo & video), on multiple channels, to introduce the new Globe Life Field to our fans. As well as designed the texasrangers.com/globelifefield updated website and MLB Ballpark app for an enhanced, and easier, user experience.
The final piece to the ballpark puzzle was curating the Globe Life Field Art Collection. We worked with RISE Design Building Integration to help manage the art collection, including contract negotiations and instillation. In early conversations, a big goal of mine was have everyone featured in the collection be a local Texas artist to help keep the stories within the ballpark tied to the great state. I was able to find artists from all different mediums and styles to add life throughout all levels of the ballpark. From higher end pieces for our exclusive season ticket member spaces, to giant selfie-worthy murals for our every fan. All pieces were tied to baseball, Texas and/or the Texas Rangers brand.
